Industrial Design and Technology

About the course

The Industrial Design and Technology BA specialises in the development of skills and ability in the design and communication of ideas, interactions and user experiences, with a focus on three-dimensional design, product styling and form, user research, materials, manufacturing processes and the production of prototypes and finished artefacts.

It concentrates on the creative form and aesthetics of contemporary and future manufactured products, emphasising the ways that products are experienced by users. Throughout the course, students are expected to apply their understanding of branding, futures concepting and the circular economy to the design of future product-service systems.
