FYDP final design
This is a top down shot of the final design of my FYDP project. This is a smart device to help visually impaired people to cook safely and easily.
FYDP final design: wearable
This is the accessory for the FYDP project. This device gives the user feedback to alert them when they are in danger of burning themselves. It contains a small vibration motor, and and inertial measurement unit, which allows the users' hands to be tracked in 3D space.
FYDP final design: charging
This shows the wireless charging capability of the wearable device, this allows the user to have them always be fully charged and always in the same place.
Live projects: modular keyboard
This is a project undertaken in the space of a week. The brief for this project was to create a modular device. This concept was a modular keyboard that allowed the user to attach additional funtions to their computer keyboard, such as a media controller, or a MIDI keyboard.
Ollie Minister
I am a Product Design BSc student, with an interest in UX design and physical prototyping.
My skills are in graphic and UI design, along with workshop modelling and manufacture. I enjoy using physical prototyping to help refine the form of my designs. My final year project is a device to assist visually impaired people with cooking safely, this project was an interesting challenge for me as it incorporated lots of high tech sensors to help with tracking of the user's hands.
