Roll N Rock - a new method for climbers to train… [Read more]
The Roll N Rock
When restricted by time, location or injury, or global pandemics, climbers are limited to what they can do without a climbing wall. Current options to train at home do not tackle all areas that are performed when on the rock. My design addresses this in an engaging way to exercise everything a climber needs whilst also allowing progression of ability and technique. The climber can have a viable option to train at home.
CAD render of proposed design
This is the final design concept after updating the design after user testing. The user can customise the holds and place them where ever they please, changing the difficulty to suite their ability. A working prototype was made for the final year design project. The user pulls on the rock holds as the device rotates around an axle. The user can increase the resistance level with the friction pads on both ends.

The foot board helps the climber develop foot strength and techniques, whilst also facilitating short height climbers to reach.
Live project - food waste reduction bin
The food waste reduction bin is designed to reduce the fruit and vegetable waste, and re-purpose it as fuel to replenish the Earths soils. By dehydrating and grinding into a fine powder, homeowners can use their waste to allow soil to thrive.
Storyboard of the food waste process
Arms within the device continuously rotate pushing the waste down the levels over five hours, over heat. The waste arrives at a grinder dried out. Sensors detect the waste and begin processing the waste into a fine powder.
The child's money saving app
The purpose of the app is to help children of low-income families find their own source of money and channel it into structured saving locations. The child learns how to budget with their own money through experiences. Connecting communities for those in need of help to those looking for extra money. The app teaches its users more sophisticated skills of budgeting, short and long term saving. These money management skills will benefit their lives hugely when older.
The neighbours app
A sister app for the local neighbours, friends and family to post jobs for the community to help.

Diligent and persistent, I strive to resolve user issues through my design, while focusing on functionality and product details.
Spending my placement year at Crosshead Folding Bikes as an assistant designer to launch their start up business has given me a wealth of skills across the entire design process. Collaborative, insight-driven design has led me to an interactive and social way of working. I am particularly interested in the efficiency of the design process and creating consistent experiences through the creation of compelling design languages. My career goal is to continue developing a range of knowledge and skills in a collaborative work environment. I am targeting a career that provides the opportunity to adapt and diversify my skills in order to create better solutions.
