Final year project - encouraging hand cleanliness before eating
This device is designed to encourage hand cleanliness when eating out in commercial establishments, it dispenses a cleansing lemon gel for users, so that their hands are clean before eating. It is designed to be situated on the table, eliminating the need for users to go to the bathroom and touch door handles after washing their hands. The device is a sculptural form so that it becomes a talking point at the table and encourages users to interact with it.

Detail for the LED light sequence that guides users on how to use the device. The LED's turn on in sequence once activated by the sensor and lead the users hand to the dispenser underneath.
Modular night light
This modular night light is designed for around the home. During the night users pick up a light and take it with them around the home. Additional hubs light up when in close proximity to the light held by the user, breaking up the darkness of the night.
DIY denim tool
A tool designed to help users personalise their denim items of clothing and start to reduce the amount of fast fashion they buy.

I am a quiet, hard working, driven individual from the Isle of Man, who has always had a passion for design and will aim to do the best I can with any projects I work on.
Over my time at university and while on placement, I have worked on and completed a range of projects which have helped me to improve my skills across the design process. My final year project has allowed me to showcase these skills and show my ability to design a product from concept to completion.
The parts of the design process I enjoy most are sketching, creating digital story boards and model making, both low and high fidelity. It is in these areas that I feel my strengths lie.
I enjoy designing a range of products, however I particularly like furniture design. I have always found chair design fascinating and would love the opportunity to explore this more in the future.
