Transplanting plants to allow to grow to maturity.

Once germinated, users can transplant their seedlings into larger pots to continue to nurture and grow plants in the base of the product, rekindling the gardening experience.

Through studying product design at Loughborough i learned a variety of invaluable skills in CAD, sketching, rendering, prototyping, UX design and electromechanical design. Through the combination of these skills, the conceptual thinking, design strategy and business mindset I learned in in Delft, and my experience as CMF design intern I have gained a very rounded education in design.

My final year project fused my interest in biology and passion for growing and nurturing plants to create a unique efficient soil-based growing system to be used in Urban environments. Throughout the project various challenges were presented, my ability to innovate and devise new ways of completing projects allowed me to explore and challenge myself.

As a result of my experience and vast amount of skills I have learnt over the last four years I have a strong interest in continuing my experience of working design consultancies to work on a variety of projects to develop myself as designer.

Final year project

The experiential science of propagation in urban environments.
