Final year design practice project
Wood burning camping stove that provides a stable cooking temperature and offers a campfire atmosphere through radiating heat to the users.
7-Day briefed design challenge
WiFi router that aims to reduce excessive time spent on social media, by enabling users' to see how much they use. E-Paper display and fabric covering suit the design to a home environment.
Disassembly of the stove for carrying
The carrying capabilities of the stove were influenced by market research, which highlighted the key areas that the stove needed to address.
User interface
The user interacts with the stove through the two push buttons and OLED. Each button is labelled and the display shows the stove's temperature, battery level and current mode, this minimises the risk of confusion when operating the device.
Detailed view of user data
Selecting the name of a user reveals a breakdown of where they spent their time on social media. This allows users to adapt their behaviour and reduce time spent on a site by site basis. It uses a rack and pinion internal mechanism to fluidly adapt the shape of the graph.
