Inclusive device to aid mindful meditation
The device aims to help improve the users’ mental well-being and prevent development of mental illnesses. Support offered by the NHS is under strain and resources are often inaccessible to people with limited abilities. The product provides the user with many forms of audible and haptic feedback and adapts their sensory environment. It is suitable for all users’ capabilities to aid mindful meditation.
Inclusive service design
An in-depth analysis was conducted into inclusive service design, assessing how a dance class was suited for the needs of a differently abled dancer, highlighting her pain points and how they could be eliminated. The aim was to make the service more accessible for the user thus allowing her to gain more independence, making the service more enjoyable.
Futureproofing automotive manufacturing to accommodate an ageing population
I undertook this piece of research to understand the needs of an aging workforce and how they can be catered for within automotive manufacturing. I wanted to start the conversation within the automotive industry to ensure that they are thinking about the needs of their workforce as their demographic changes. I partnered with a UK automotive company for this project allowing me to use industry specific examples to provide needed recommendations.
Tri-tensil - one week project
Tri-tensil is a multi-use tool for student chefs. The tool is a spoon, fork and spatula utensil all in one, allowing for space saving in compact student kitchens. This project was part of a live project brief to include live hinges which was met creatively by the Tri-tensil.

Chloe Roberts
I am a design ergonomist who is very passionate about my chosen subject and am excited to put everything I have learnt into practice in industry once I graduate.
All projects that I have undertaken have been to understand the user and their wants, needs and aspiration to ensure that the outcome is the best suited to them. I enjoy solving problems using ergonomic principles to ensure the user is at the heart of any design decisions.
