Pure - a smart indoor air quality monitor and purification system for the home
Pure uses the latest airflow and air monitoring technology to inform users of their indoor air quality as well as the best ways to reduce indoor air pollution.
Filter technology
Replaceable HEPA filters are used to collect micro-articles in the air and ensure that air pollution is removed from the air that people breathe. The smart sensors within the device show the user the levels present in their home throughout the week and allow them to set goals to try and reduce these levels over weeks and months.
Community
Pure brings new home communities together by, not only showing your personal home air pollution, but the community as a whole and recommends ways to combat and try to increase these air quality levels as a community.
Tapp
Tapp is a modern cordial and squash maker with the user at the centre. Personalisation is key with Tapp and allows the user to completely personalise the device to their style and taste. The fully recyclable pods are easily replaceable and allow users to change their taste up when they want.
Grow
Grow is a fully recyclable hydroponic growing system aimed at bringing elderly care home communities together to combat loneliness in care homes and elderly communities.
Joseph Coade
I am a dedicated team player focussed on the details, with strong organisational, communication skills, and time-management , as evidenced by my experience across my placement year.
• Management Techniques: I am able to break down large projects, allowing for a more effective use of other people’s time as well as ensure each part of the project is carried out to the highest quality. It also gives me the ability to understand and see what needs to be delivered. • Production: increased knowledge of design for manufacture allows me to ensure a product is designed with manufacture in mind and making it the most efficient design possible for production.• Testing : Understanding the need for testing to allow development of the product or project. • Never afraid to fail- This is a key part of the design process and one we all as designers have to face during the design and development of a product. It’s what makes the product. • Communication : the key in design is to be able to communicate whether it be with clients or through the design of a product, this is what makes sure that the needs of all parties are met in an efficient way. I believe design helps shape and push the world forward, this is why the small details within design matter the most.

Experience
I worked at Prod design Ltd in London for a year in 2018. I was faced with a wide scope of different design projects across that year which helped develop my skills as a designer and allowed me to see how the design process works in the 'real world' with real clients. This experience allowed me to see projects from initial conception to presenting the client with a final design and product, which has the be the most satisfying part of the design process, to then seeing the products and solutions being used by people.
