A worry-free experience to maintaining thermal comfort in sleep
Despite the factors such as exposure of light being widely covered in sleep, the equally important aspect of temperature has often been overlooked. A lack of personalisation in existing comfort systems often leads to reoccurring sleep disruptions, putting insomniacs at risk of developing health related problems. Providing users with a more tailored and worry-free experience, this project smartly delivers dynamic thermal comfort into users' sleep.
Cutaneous warming and cooling
Dynamic cutaneous warming and cooling are applied directly to the users’ lower back in bed, providing an effective yet comfortable delivery of thermal stimuli during sleep.
Simple storage
Designed to be compact and unobtrusive, it can be rolled and stored neatly away when not in use.
Further personalisation
Sleep data tracking and further function refinements can be accessed and altered through the accompanying app, allowing hyper-personalisation of the product to each individual's specific needs.
Mason Wong
A forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Designer and a keen storyteller.
My time at IBM iX as a Visual Designer allowed me to find my passion in exploring user-centric creations that portray compelling stories and narratives, in-turn creating unique end-to-end experiences. I am a strong advocate for cross-pollination between various disciplines, as often new stories and ideas are uncovered leading to unique creations. I am particularly fascinated in transforming intangible qualities like users’ emotional needs to compelling visuals, whilst exploring how memorable experiences can be delivered through a different medium. Having kick-started my career in the digital design industry, I look forward to expanding my skill set in a collaborative setting.
